Die forging of forged flange
Die forging of forged flange is a forging method that uses free forging square method to blank and then finally forms in the die of forged flange. It is a forging method between free forging and die forging of forged flange. There are few die forging equipment, most of which are free forging hammers, which are widely used in small and medium-sized enterprises.
There are many kinds of die used in die forging of forged flanges, and the common ones in production are: type drop, buckle die, sleeve die, cushion die, die closing, etc.
The closed cylinder die of forged flange is mostly used for the forging of rotary forgings. For example, gears with bosses on both ends are sometimes used for forging non rotating forgings. Closed cylinder die forging belongs to non flash forging.
For the flange forged by the tire mold with complex shape, it is necessary to add two half molds (i.e. add a parting surface) to the barrel mold to make the combined barrel mold, and the blank is formed in the mold chamber composed of two half molds.
Roll forging of forged flanges can be used to produce connecting rods, fried dough twist drills, wrenches, spikes, hoes, pickaxes and turbine blades. Roll forging process uses the principle of rolling forming to gradually deform the blank.
Compared with the common die forging of forged flanges, the roll forging of forged flanges has the advantages of simple equipment structure, stable production, low vibration and noise, easy automation and high production efficiency.
