• Working principle of A105 compact flange
The design principle of A105 compact flange is a double sealing system with independent flange sealing surface. The pressure at the root of wedge-shaped flange surface caused by bolt preload forms the first seal; The main seal is IX seal ring, and the sealing force mainly comes from the elastic energy of the seal ring under its own stress state. If the seal at the root of the wedge flange edge leaks, the pressure from the inside expands to the outer diameter, which strengthens the sealing effect.
