What is an epoxy flange?

Some customers will ask us about epoxy flanges. I'm glad we have customers asking this question. Today, let's explain what epoxy resin flange is. Epoxy resin flange is not the surface treatment of flange, but a special corrosive treatment, which is similar to the epoxy powder anti-corrosion treatment of steel pipe. The epoxy resin treatment coating is uniformly and densely coated on the surface of the derusted flange to isolate it from all kinds of corrosive media. In recent years, it is also one of the anti-corrosion methods used by high-end customers. What is the difference between epoxy resin flanges and other general flanges? The most intuitive difference is that the epoxy resin flanges are white. This is very obvious. Therefore, it can be seen at a glance whether the epoxy resin treatment is done or not. Customers do not need to worry about this aspect at all. Epoxy resin flange originated in other industries in the last century and is mainly required for use in some harsh environments. It also prevents the hidden trouble of high pipeline temperature rise caused by oil heating and transportation. Therefore, epoxy resin flanges are often used in oil and gas engineering. Of course, the epoxy resin flange also has service conditions. Pay attention to the material and pressure of the corresponding flange ② inner wall anti-corrosion coating: the film applied to the inner wall of the flange in order to prevent corrosion in the pipe, reduce friction resistance and improve throughput. Commonly used coatings are amine cured epoxy resin and polyamide epoxy resin, with a coating thickness of 0.038 ~ 0.2mm. In order to ensure that the coating is firmly bonded to the pipe wall, the inner wall of the pipe must be surface treated. Since the appearance of epoxy resin flange, it tends to use the same materials for the inner and outer wall coating, so that the inner and outer wall coating of the pipe can be carried out at the same time.
