Pressure vessel flange

The flange of pressure vessel is a common part of pressure vessel, which is the basic element connecting various pressure vessel parts. It is widely used in petrochemical, electric power, atomic energy, light industry and other industrial fields. For vessels, flanges shall be a component, including flanges, gaskets, connecting bolts or studs and nuts, which are used to combine different pressure components and ensure no leakage at the connecting parts. The main failure form of flange connection is stiffness failure of joint, and its external manifestation is leakage. The medium inside the pressure vessel is characterized by high temperature and high pressure, as well as flammability, explosiveness or toxicity. Once leakage occurs, serious secondary disasters will occur, seriously threatening the safety of the pressure vessel body, surrounding equipment and personnel. Therefore, the overall sealing performance shall be * * considered in the design and selection of vessel flanges.

Classification of pressure vessel flange:

The flanges of pressure vessels are divided into flat welding flanges and butt welding flanges. Among them, the flat welding flange is divided into A-type flange and B-type flange.

1. Flat welding flange

1) The B flange has a short cylinder, so its rigidity is better than that of the A flange, and it can be used in situations with higher pressure and larger diameter;

2) Weld type: Type A is V-shaped groove and Type B is U-shaped groove, so Type B * is easy to weld through, so its strength and stiffness * are high.

2. Butt welding flange

Due to its long neck and butt welding, it has good rigidity and is suitable for high pressure applications.
