Die forging of forged flanges
Die forging of forged flange refers to the forging method of forging by forming the blank with a die on a special die forging equipment. The forged flange produced by this method has accurate size, small machining allowance, complex structure and high productivity. The die forging of forged flanges is classified according to the different equipment used: hammer die forging, crank press die forging, flat forging machine die forging and friction press die forging. The most commonly used equipment for die forging flanges on hammers are steam air die forging hammers, anvil free hammers and high-speed hammers.
Forging die bore of forging flange: according to its different functions, it can be divided into two categories: die forging die bore and blank making die bore.
Forging die used for hammer die forging of forged flange

(1 - hammer head; 2 - upper mold; 3 - flash groove; 4 - lower mold; 5 - mold pad; 6, 7, 10 - fastening wedge iron; 8 - parting surface; 9 - mold bore)
1) Die forging chamber for forged flange
(1) Pre forged die bore for forged flanges:
The function of the pre forged die chamber of the forged flange is to deform the blank to be close to the shape and size of the forging, so that when the final forging is carried out, the metal is easy to fill the die chamber and obtain the size required by the forging. For forgings with simple shape or small batch, pre forging die chamber may not be set. The fillet and inclination of the pre forging die bore of the forged flange are much larger than that of the final forging die bore, and there is no flash groove. In addition, there is the final forging die bore of the forged flange.
