According to the production restriction plan released this time, Hebei should not only complete the horizontal control task of annual crude steel output, but also reduce the output of crude steel by 21.71 million tons year-on-year on this basis. According to the target task of reducing crude steel in the above regions, the cumulative output of reducing crude steel in Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Henan, Tianjin and Beijing from September to December should reach 18.71 million tons, and the average monthly output of reducing crude steel is 4.68 million tons.
In the second stage (January 1, 2022 - March 15, 2022), with the goal of reducing the increased emission of air pollutants in the heating season, in principle, the proportion of staggered peak production of iron and steel enterprises in relevant regions shall not be less than 30% of the crude steel output in the same period of the previous year. According to the data of the Bureau of statistics, the total output of crude steel in Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Henan, Tianjin, Beijing and other places in the first quarter of 2021 was 111 million tons. If the output in the first quarter of 2022 was reduced by 30%, the crude steel output of 33.32 million tons would be reduced at that time, and the average monthly crude steel output would be 11.107 million tons.
