How to handle the solid solution heat treatment of austenitic stainless steel long and high neck flange?


Heat the raw materials of austenitic stainless steel long and high neck flange to about 1100 , so that the carbide phase is completely or basically dissolved, and the carbon is dissolved in the austenitic stainless steel long and high neck flange, and then quickly cool the stainless steel long and high neck flange to room temperature, so that the carbon reaches the supersaturated state (the carbon has been stable, and there is no ability and opportunity to form high chromium carbide with chromium). The heat treatment method of stainless steel long and high neck flange is solid solution heat treatment.

The rapid cooling in the solution heat treatment of stainless steel long and high neck flange seems to be like the quenching of ordinary steel, but the "quenching" at this time is different from the quenching of ordinary steel long and high neck flange. The former is softening treatment and the latter is hardening (forming martensite). Ordinary stainless steel long neck flange adopts different heating temperature to obtain different hardness, but it is less than 1100 .


What does the stabilization treatment of stainless steel long high neck flange mean?


In order to avoid the formation of high chromium carbide between carbon and chromium in the long and high neck flange of austenitic stainless steel, Ti is added into the long and high neck flange of austenitic stainless steel. When heated to a temperature above 875 , stable tic can be formed, which greatly reduces the concentration (content) of solid solution carbon in the long and high neck flange of austenitic stainless steel, thus sacrificing Ti and Nb to protect CR. Austenitic stainless steel long and high neck flange after stabilization treatment is more widely used in engineering than solution heat treatment because it has better comprehensive mechanical properties.
