Differences between A105 blind flange BL and common flange

What is the difference between A105 blind BL flange and common flange? Here is a brief introduction.

1.The characteristics of the two are different

A105 blind flange BL is a flange with no hole in the middle, which is mainly used for the front end of pipeline sealing and sealing port. Its function is the same as that of valve head and pipe cover, but blind seal is a detachable sealing device, which cannot open the seal of the head again. The materials of A105 blind flange BL include carbon steel, alloy, stainless steel, plastic, etc. due to its good sealing performance, A105 blind BL flange plays the role of isolation, cutting, sealing head, pipe cover, etc. when completely separated, it is usually used as a constant isolation means. The blind plate is a solid plate with handle. Generally, it is more convenient to use the BL flange of A105 blind plate for the isolation system under general conditions. 2） In the pipeline strength test or sealing test, the BL flange of A105 blind plate in the original start-up preparation stage cannot be used together with the connecting equipment.A105 Blind flange BL plate shall be installed at the joint of equipment and pipeline, and all kinds of process material pipes shall be connected in the boundary area outside the boundary area. When the equipment stops running, the A105 blind BL flange shall be installed at the shut-off valve.
